  • How to see employee's previous days' clock in times?

    You can see previous pay period or date ranges clocked in & out times at the reports page.

    • As the admin, you can see everyone's reports. 
    • As the manager, you can just see your staff's reports.
    • As the employee, you can just see your reports.

  • How employees request time off (PTO)?

    You can allow employees to request time off now, if you allow that option in your company time off settings. If you don't, you can add the time off for your employees when you log in.

  • How to set time off (PTO) types for the company?

    You can set up company's time off types to allow employees to request time off (PTO) requests. It's very flexible so you can set up more than 1 type.

  • How to assign employees to managers?

    Employee can be assigned to managers. This way, managers can see their time cards and approve the changes if the company admin allow this.

    ** Only the time clock app admin can assign employees to managers.

  • How to add managers?

    Managers can see their team's time cards. They can also run reports to see their payroll hour reports. If you allow people in your company to request or change their time cards, then managers can approve those changes for their team.

    Managers CANNOT add new employees to their team or assign people to their team.

  • How does an Admin edit a time card's clock in & out times

    As an Admin, you can change or delete clock in & out times. It's very simple to do through the report page. Your changes can be seen by the employee through the history pop up.

    Step by step instructions.

    1. Log in as the admin.
    2. Go to the "Reports" page and search for the employee and time card you want to change.



    3. Make sure you click on the "List" view, indicated by #2 in the above image.
    4. Click on the pencil icon to edit the time card.

  • How to create a company id?

    You may want to create a company id, so you can log into the company's time clock account without using your admin email address and password. You do this, when you want to allow managers or employees log into the company time clock on their own. By giving others the company id and password, they will be able to clock in from anywhere. So, do it with care.

    This is how you create company id and it's own password. You have login as admin first.

     

  • How to log employees in to clock in & out?

    You first have to log into the company using your admin email or a company id on the browser that you want others to use to clock in. You only have to do this once on that browser.

     

    Once you log into the company. The employees will see their names in the dropdown to select and login from.

  • How to see all employees time sheet report

    You can see all employees time sheet reports at the reports page.

    • As the admin, you can see everyone's reports. 
    • As the manager, you can just see your staff's reports.
    • As the employee, you can just see your reports.

  • How to change user profile's information?

    The regular users can change their own basic information by going to "My Profile" page and click on the edit button. Regular users cannot change the IP restrictions, managers and work status.

    The admin can change all user profile's information. 

    1. Go to "My Team" page to choose the user you want to change the information for.
    2. Click on the user's name to change the profile information.

  • How to download payroll reports in Excel or CSV files?

    You can download payroll hours reports in Excel or CSV. 

    • Go to the Search page, https://time.ideablox.com/search.
    • Run a report for all employees and time period.
    • Click on "See timesheet" button right above the report and the download button will appear.

  • How to add IP restriction, so employees can only clock in from a certain computer?

    If you want to make sure that employees are clocking in & out from a certain computer. You can turn on IP restrictions for that employee. This means if the employee some how clocks in from a different, the time card will be flagged. 

    *Note: IP could change if your network set up uses dynamic IP, so check your network setup.

     Here are the steps:

    1. You have to be an admin or manager to do this.
    2. Employees themselves cannot see or change this IP setting.
    3. Go to "My Team" page to choose the user you want to change the information for.
